Johansen's award-winning cutting-edge DATA pathway applies learning to student's interests as they prepare for careers in technology. Students have two unique sub-pathways to choose from: Digital Media Arts & Game Arts, and Digital Media Broadcasting. The pathway includes multiple levels of coursework in 3D Graphics & Animation, Video Game Design, Computer Programming, Digital Audio Production, Studio Recording, Video Arts & Production, and Broadcasting.
Johansen's dynamic VAPA Pathway has access to award winning programs in all disciplines of the visual and performing arts including: Art, AP Music Theory, AP Studio Art, Band, Beginning and Advanced Ceramics, Beginning and Intermediate Choirs, Commercial and Graphic Art, Beginning and Advanced Drama, Guitar, Jazz Band, Marching Band & Color Guard, Orchestra, Photography, Piano, and Viking Singers.
Johansen's Agriculture Academy promotes the integration of academics and a career focus in three career pathways - Agriculture Mechanics, Animal Science, and Plant Science. Students in our Agriculture Academy can also participate in FFA activities, which promote premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
The mission of the Industrial Technology Engineering Academy is to prepare our graduates to enter into the fields of Industrial Technology/Engineering. We prepare the next generation for careers and college through Shop Skills, Small Engines, Engineering, Architecture and Construction, Computer Aided Design, Graphic Communications, and Graphic Arts Design.
Students interested in the career fields of education, children, or any people-to-people professions are encouraged to enroll in the EHDA academy. College credits, job shadowing, internships, field trips, great guest speakers, and integrated curriculum are just a few of the benefits.
